This is the first taste I’ve had from the brewery in wine country. A faint to mild malty hop, mostly hop on the nose with a beautiful color (simply gorgeous body 😉
The flavor is rich with a different hop, maybe its the hop playing off the rye…
… it has a good mouth feel too at 8.3% abv. I let it warm up in the glass for a few while I split a Burton Baton. When we got back to it after a water buffer one of the experts here exclaimed “Now that is just good!”. That about sums it up for me too. The taste after in warmed up put the malty flavor more up front, although it was still faint to mild. This was a birthday gift, thanks again Kathy and John, its delicious!
