Pumpkin Ale, Buffalo Bill’s Brewery, Hayward, CA
Big spice pumpkin mash accompanied by a faint sour on the nose that adds to the complex aroma that (this reporter feels anyway) is worthy of bottling as an indoor air freshener. This killer smell almost lends to dissappointment on the palate as you get a good pale ale flavor with a very mild pumpkin towards the end. It is 5.2% abv and I want to try their Imperial Pumkin and compare that with some of the other delicious imperial pumpkins we love so much (Devious & PumpKing). What this really is, is a nice pale ale that has a bit of pumpkin flavor.
