This, Stone’s 11th Anniversary beer, has got that distinct proprietary yeast flavor on the nose. It settles out as a delicious IPA with a dark enlightenment. 8.3%abv. This ale gives me hope that those at Stone will further thank the “enlightened” and make their 16th Anniversary (Lemon delicious) IPA a regular part of their lineup, as it is a truly “sacrosanct” ale that they should be proud enough of to brew again as though it were back by popular demand. As far as this reporter is concerned, that is the pleaded case I am sticking by… Gentlemen and ladies, perfect, once again as before, so that it is just as delicious. Oh, and thank you, for all that you do. Please! Do it again.
Sharing one of these now with an expert that just read the back of the bottle and after tasting gently uttered, “…and i am genuinely grateful, the pleasure is all mine”.
Black IPA!!! You want to scream this from the rooftops!!!
Wonderfully balanced.. experienced again last night!
BLACKIPA! Just had a porter and now circling back to this and its just as nice going from darker to lighter, this brew is good all the time. BLACKIPA! As the battle-cry startles the calm of the liquor store. BLACK-IPA! When you add the pirate like growl, everyone understands the battle cry excitement.
