I got this last week and I have been excited to try this Porter all day today. It was something about the label the caught me when I first saw it and I’ve been intrigued to taste it ever since. It has got a dark body that glows red in front of the light. The nose imparts a vague impression and left me thinking to myself, it could be a Porter or it could be a Brown ale. The back of the bottle mentioned a “fruit nuance” that I only get a hint of it before the dark ending. I noted a nice mouth feel in the middle with a bit more complex flavor than your typical Porter. Its 8.5 abv and I enjoyed it on this cool night, but I think it would be good in front of a winter night’s fire too.

I tasted smoky cherries in the finish of this beer; pretty tasty, but not your typical Porter.
