The aroma and taste is that of a standard hop. I thought to myself, how else can I describe this for someone that doesn’t know what I mean when I say “standard hop” or “the good IPA nose”? Bitter almost pine aroma with a bitter tangy flavor on the pallate. I would say this has standard hop on the nose and mouth that reads and plays true, you taste what you smell and its delicious. 8.5%abv

Agreed. I say pine flowers, imagining what they smell like. Curiosity got the best of me and I looked up the word Mongo. For this beer, they meant humongous/larger than life…as the description on the bottle explains the brief life of the brewery cat they aptly named Mongo.
