Smashed Pumpkin, Shipyard Brewing Company, Portland, ME
I’ve been meaning to post this since Saturday and am just getting to it now. This pumpkin from Shipyard within their “Pugsley’s Signature Series”, had a spice on the nose. It was a spice but, I don’t know that it’s what I’ve come to imagine when expecting Pumpkin Spice. The pumpkin flavor that met the palette was very nice and made up for what was lacking on the nose. At 9%abv, you’re sure to have a Happy Halloween this year. Like all these pumpkin beers however, if you don’t get them and store them to keep for your holiday when the time is right, they may not be around for when you want them the most.
