Autumn Ale (After Rakin), Breckenridge Brewery, Denver, CO

As this was mentioned in the Top Ten Beers of fall the other day, I thought it would be a good one to get and I am not disappointed. A subtle to nothing malt on the nose that made me think it might best be enjoyed late in the day on Thanksgiving. A roasted malty flavor stays on the palette until the next sip, 6.7%abv.

Just having another one of these now and I realized that if you’re not used to enjoying lasting malt flavor, you might not enjoy this one. Me, the spectrum from malt to hop I try to change-up and enjoy every day, I love it! Got to visit this brewery too 😉
