Roasted toasty aroma with wee little bit of chocolate undertone. A deep red almost black color with 6% abv. This black IPA is true to taste and is seemingly absent the hop bitter. It has replaced the hop bitter with roasted toasty and faint chocolate hints. Demo is part of Magic Hat’s year long “tour of IPAs…revolving roster of four IPAs”. I like it in the mix.
I’m having another one of these now and it really is a nice roasted balanced with a faint to nothing hop bitter that has my “…senses dancing…”, for sure.
Just now enjoying the last of the six, the encore. Magic Hat, keep the tunes playing on this one, you’ve done well with this one’s replayability. The label makes me think of the largest vinyl collection you can think of. For me, that’s Jimmy Page (sp?) and my aunt, Janice. She has got a vinyl collection that spans the ages, just like him. Cheers to that warn vinyl hiss! 😀
