Tavern Ale; White Birch Brewing, Hooksett, NH
This hand crafted, hand bottled ale is unfiltered and 7.9%abv. A morning cereal grain aroma gives way to a subtle coffee that persists as the glass warms. A smooth mouth feel that one of the experts here described as being “creamy” and I agree. A rich malt to alcohol flavor reminds us with its complexity that its an IMPERIAL brown ale. If I could set the agenda I’d have one maybe two of these and then move onto a pumpkin, maybe Devious or Pumking, before heading to bed 🙂
