2XMAS Seasonal, Southern Tier Brewing Company, Lakewood, NY
The bottle reads, “ale brewed with figs, orange peels and spices, 2 varieties of hops and 4 types of malts”, and when I read it I thought to myself, “oh this is probably going to be gross”. Boy was I wrong, this is a mildly spiced malty delicious with a mild regular malt nose. Quite lovely and I was able to try it first before I buy it for a reasonable price per glass at the Shore Diner.
