Brawler, Yard’s Brewing Company, Philadelphia, PA
I was surprised when I searched for this and found nothing, I could have sworn we discussed this installment previously, but I guess not. The first time I remember having this was at a Flyers game a few years ago. I had yet to find the single craft brew stand in the arena, so I usually stuck with the Long Hammer IPA. While we were at the game my friend Sharon asked if I was “ready for one” and brought back Brawler. I was used to the Long Hammer at that point so the Brawler was a big happy surprise. I have been a big fan of this brew ever since and am always reminded of the Flyers whenever I enjoy it. At 4.2% abv, I’m breaking up the heat wave in fine style.
