Forgive me for the double photo but I wanted to show that this special IPA was bottled on the 24th of September 2013 and today is October 4th in New Jersey. Let me describe before I get to my rating. I tried this beer two ways. Part of it in a frozen glass part of it in a room temperature glass.. I will say I got two different results. The frozen glass produced a slightly hoppy nose with a citrusy hop flavor… The room temperature glass produced a hoppy citrus piney nose with a mellow hop mouth feel.
Either way this is one of the best IPAs I ever tasted.. And coming in at the sweet spot of 6.9 to 7.1 ABv… How could you lose… Buy stock in this brew!
The frozen glass gives off a nice hop nose that only continues on stronger as the glass warms. As an expert here noted, its not as powerful on the front palate as some of our other favorite IPAs but it is just as delicious.
