Decadent Chocolate Ale, Atwater Brewery, Detroit, MI
Draft pour. Black in color with a creamy tan head that didn’t linger as long as I would’ve liked. Rich, malty nose with strong chocolate overtone. Light body with an easy balance of bitter dark chocolate, light hops and a mild malt character. The aroma leaves something to be desired from the ale, perhaps a tad simple across the flavor profile, but overall a good brew.
