We had this for dessert tonight and I just had to post what a real treat this brew is to me. It has a nice label that explains this series in more detail. Here, Art & the art of Brewing collide in fine fashion and we the consumers reap the rewards of the Culmination. The Culmination of over forty years of experienced artistry that leaves you longing for more to taste and see. At first pour one blogger exclaimed, “totally opaque”, as they held the glass to the light, “there is not a shred of light getting through”. Up front non-overpowering notes of dark chocolate are truly sublime and make me hope to one day meet Dave Hartmann (Brew Master). The chocolate gives way to a roasty porter flavor that leaves a satin finish, quite enjoyable and 9.3% abv. The beautiful label is brought to us by Katharine Montstream, a landscape painter from Burlington VT.
I am actively looking for this and would love to hear from you if you see it anywhere this time around, in 2015.
I couldn’t take it, so i called Long Trail Brewing and left a message asking Brewmaster Dave Hartmann. Brewmaster Hartmann called me back and left me a message with my answer and by doing so earned a higher level of respect from this reporter. He said we can look for this one September to early November sometime. This was so cool and I am so excited to taste this again, I propose a road trip for this fall. Lets go stock up and have lunch 😋 I wonder if sixtels will be available…? Who’s with me!?!
