This beer definitely falls on the malty side of the flavor spectrum. Carmel and toasted bread abound. There is just enough hop bitterness to temper the malt character. A hint of vanilla sneaks through, from the bourbon addition. This is another fine offering from Glasstown.
So, is Millville the only place to get growler fills of Glasstown Brewing Company’s brews? Do they sell/fill sixtels? I’m guessing no but, I won’t know unless I ask, right?
Yes, the only place to get growler fills is at the brewery at the Millville airport. You could probably order a sixtel, but expect turnaround to be at least a month. They are just working up to very local distribution.
Thats cool, I’m going to have to check it out. Whats your favorite of theirs?
Of their regular offerings, I really like the Cedar Swamp IPA, Glasstown Amber and Old 47 El Dorado Pale Ale. The Napoleon Porter and Maurice River Bourbon Barrel Brown are my favorite special releases, so far.
