Rampant Imperial Double IPA, New Belgium Brewing Company, Fort Collins, CO

First stop off the plane is Steve’s Snapping Dogs, a little hot dog stand out of Denver that recently expanded to the airport. The sign that captured our attention reads “Local Craft Beer & Wine Bar”, not sure about the wine, but the beer is delicious. Twenty bottle varieties and more than a half dozen craft draft choices. I had to start with one of my favorite flavors, the imperial double IPA. Rampant is a smooth, easy-drinking double IPA that I want a sixtel of for my next birthday celebration. Next to nothing on the nose and the hop is subtly explosive to an after flavor that is all double IPA. 8.5% abv and worth the trip to Denver airport, yum!
