You got to love the Cape May Honey Porter label complete with a Jersey Fresh stamped on for the honey used. I could go on about the label artwork as I think Cape May Brewing does a great job with their labeling – Devils Reach has another outstanding label by Cape May artist Victor Grasso. But I digress let me get to the honey porter which is a tasty rendition to say the least. My first flirtation with craft beer was the Samuel Adams Honey Porter which I had on occasion sold out of a cooler at concerts back in the day. Its been awhile since I had one of those but this brew certainly takes me back to a simpler time. The sweetness of the honey balances out the dark roasted malts and is quite simply delicious. Being that it is local makes it twice as good and who knows the honey could be good for my allergies double score!!
