I had Double Liberty for the first time today at the Anchor Brewery in San Francisco. What a delicious double IPA. I do not think this one is too available yet, as I think they said it was a newer release. I know I have never seen it in my local shop, but I will continue to look for Double Liberty and ask for sixtel availability. Coming in at 8.2% abv, I wish I had another four pack of this not-too-sweet mild bitter deliciousness. From the bottle chapter I learned that the original Liberty IPA was brewed in 1975 and was responsible for introducing the US to the Cascade hop and the art of dry-hopping…Wow! This, the first of the Anchor Argonaut Collection, a “limited edition of uniquely Anchor Brews” delicious!
