We came upon this place on our ski weekend at Camelback. The first thing I noticed is, this place is “hopping” for a Sunday afternoon.
We head in and notice right away the brews are prominent throughout the restaurant. This place just oozes great craft brews and food. Rustic wood abounds.
We ordered all their available brews in flights to get a taste.
Here is their selection… http://www.barleycreek.com/beer.php
I do this because of the amount of choices and descriptions available. Also, note special brews like the triple Ipa I enjoyed are not listed.
I will say what stands out to me is the freshness of every brew I tasted. I had a suspicion that the water played into this and after speaking to a few people my suspicion was correct. This brewery has their own well on property on the mountain. While the brews are well balanced the freshness comes through to me on every sip.
The 20 Ye Old Ale listed here http://www.barleycreek.com/beerNavigator.php?id=103 is my choice to take home to enjoy while watching the superbowl.
So in closing, if u are up this way, make a stop. You will be happy you did.
