Yogev, Cab/Merlot Blend, Galilee Israel, 2013

It’s not often one is fortunate enough to taste a wine from Israel, it’s even less often that one gets to taste anything from the sacred land of Galilee. Our friends at White Horse Wine & Spirits included this bottle in their v.15 $99 Red/White case. This wine is smooth and delicious with strong dark red fruit on the nose with a wonderful punch of blackberries and a gorgeous garnet color. I’m enjoying it with a brie and sharp cheddar cheese plate, which is a very complimentary pairing. I see this also pairing very well with richly sauced chicken and lighter red meats. Thank you White Horse! Cheers!
