Two Juicy IPA, Two Roads Stratford, CT.
Well my Brew Blogging friends, it’s been awhile since I last posted a brew that I have come across. Today’s selection is Two Juicy new england-style double IPA. As you can see from the picture it pours a really light golden hazy color with a very thin head. The nose on this beer is extremely tropical. There are hints of pineapple, grapefruit and citrus. Naturally I expected a strong bite. Surprisingly it is very mild. Finding out it was 38 IBUs further confirmed my taste buds. Now it does clock in at 8.1% ABV but there is only the smallest subtle sweetness. I believe is from the citrus and citra hops.
So what would I rate this you may ask. If I was going to put it on a scale of one to five with one being horrible and five being excellent I would have to give it a 4.2. My overall feeling is a strong brew full of citrus with mild IPA notes. One warning though while drinking this … stay out of the sun! 🤣 Cheers..
