The next session in the Dogfish Head musical series pays tribute to The Grateful Dead. Last year Dogfish Head requested suggestions from their patrons to offer an ingredient to brew with that would encapsulate The Grateful Dead and granola was the winning suggestion. I’m sure it would have been something different if we lived in a place like Amsterdam (Netherlands). Having attended twenty to thirty Grateful Dead shows myself, in a variety of locations (including: Philadelphia [PA], Tempe [AZ], Portland [OR], Las Vegas [NV] and Eugene [OR]) granola was an excellent choice. I still long for a Dead show almost twenty years later but, I’m glad to be able to enjoy this imperial pale ale today. A not too sweet hoppy flavor that I would have expected to have aromas of patchouli. I like it! Bravo Dogfish Head, thanks again, if you get confused just listen to the music play.
